DIY Shea Butter Lip Balm for Smooth Lips

If you're looking for an easy, all-natural way to keep your lips soft and hydrated, this DIY lip balm is for you! Made with just a few simple ingredients, it’s completely free of synthetic fragrances, petroleum, and preservatives — and it smells amazing.

At the heart of this recipe is raw Shea Butter, a nutrient-rich moisturizer packed with vitamins A and E that deeply hydrates and protects delicate skin. Let’s get started!

🧪 Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon raw Shea Butter
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (or almond oil)
  • 1 tablespoon beeswax pellets
  • Optional: 3–5 drops essential oil (like peppermint, vanilla, or lavender)
  • Optional: a pinch of mica powder for a subtle tint

🔥 Instructions:

  1. In a double boiler (or heat-safe bowl over a saucepan), melt the beeswax, coconut oil, and shea butter together on low heat.
  2. Stir gently until fully melted and combined.
  3. Remove from heat and add essential oil (and mica if using). Stir well.
  4. Quickly pour into small lip balm tins or tubes.
  5. Let cool for 30–60 minutes at room temperature.

That’s it! You now have your very own homemade, all-natural Shea Butter lip balm. 💛

💡 Why Use Shea Butter in Lip Balm?

  • Deeply hydrating — great for dry or cracked lips
  • Healing — packed with antioxidants and fatty acids
  • Gentle — ideal for sensitive skin
  • Protective — helps prevent moisture loss

Whether you’re gifting it, selling it, or just keeping your own lips soft all winter, this recipe is a must-try for any natural beauty lover.
